In this video, Tara and Coach Cat discuss the perfect vowels. How do we sing with perfect vowel production and what does that mean?

Know When to Change a Vowel

Any extreme note (high or low) needs more space and support. Certain vowels (like closed mouth vowels) can be challenging for singers when singing especially high or low notes. We want to enunciate, but we don’t want to strain trying to sing closed mouth vowels. This means you may need to change vowels to a more “open” sound at times. This can literally be done by forming the vowel and then dropping and creating a more open mouth position to form a slightly new sound with more space.
