Born in Norfolk,VA and raised in Virginia beach(757!) J.None got his start singing in the teen choir for his bible study I.D.M.R. at the tender age of 12. By 14 he began entertaining audiences at the world famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, NYC as part of Amateur Night and Top Dog talent competitions. Featured in the September 2008 issue of “GQ”, he was selected to perform for Grammy Award-winning super producer Timbaland. In addition, he was also selected as the Virginia-Pilot, Inside Business “Most Valued Business Supporter” for his “National Anthem” performances at Inside Business honoree ceremonies.

J is very giving when it comes to his gift. He has performed at various community concerts sponsored by Kollission Records, donating all proceeds to the Children’s Kings Daughters Hospital Miracle Network (J.None is an asthmatic #TeamAsthma). In 2011 he attained international recognition for placing in the Top 32 on Simon Cowell’s newest talent show “The X-Factor” as ¼ of the young Pop group 4Shore. Audiences loved his hilarious demeanor on stage and his buttery-smooth vocals.

Mr. Like None Other shows that he is well rounded as he also plays the piano, the violin, and the guitar. None is also a friendly sapsucka. He studied music performance at Virginia Commonwealth University and is a graduate of Full Sail University with a degree in Music Production. J likes to wear the acting hat and the comedy hat from time to time, as he’s been casted in productions at Disney and Alhambra Theatre. In 2015, J.None auditioned for Season 14 of the hit Fox singing competition “American Idol” and advanced to the Top 48.
